French Day

Yesterday we held our first French Day and celebrated all that is great about France.

We found out about the different regions of France, tasted French food, learnt how to play French cricket and perform a traditional French dance and finally built famous French landmarks using cocktail sticks and midget gems! What a busy day!

Health and fitness week!

What a day! This afternoon we started with a mindfulness session. Pupils were given the opportunity to reflect on all the things that make them great.

After this,  Kingfishers took part in a Jag-Tag (American Football) session! Noel and Jasmine won awards for their excellent skills when throwing!!

Then we had the talented Natasha Jonas in for a boxing taster session! The children loved this and some of them bought their boxing gloves in to get them signed.

Grease production

Our Y6s and some Y5s performed Grease last week, and what a production it was! The children have worked incredibly hard to learn lines, songs and dance routines and they 100% pulled it off. It was professional standard! The children showed no nerves, eventhough some of them had solos to sing and they certainly made teachers and parents proud! What a memory to take forward! A big thank you to Miss Dooley for being a wonderful director!!

Take Over Day!

Last Wednesday, Y6 took over the school! They had all written letters of application for their roles of choice and it was very hard to decide who took on which job! Here they are, in the roles of: Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher, Buisiness Manager, Office Administrator, Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Site Superviser, School Improvement Partner, Tech support and Sports Coaches. They were all very professional and now understand the process of what having a job entails. All staff and children really enjoyed the day.

London!

WOW! On Friday Year 5 had the amazing opportunity of visiting London for the day. It was a jam-packed day where we had the chance to see lots of famous attractions in Liverpool such as: Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, bridges along the River Thames Cruise and even a tour of the House of Parliament (we even got to see the House of Lords and The House Of Commons). We learnt so much about our wonderful city throughout the day and the children (and staff!) thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
