We made lava in a cup!
This week in Science club we followed a set of instructions to make lava. We talked about the density of the ingredients that we used and generated some questions we could further investigate at home.
Key Stage 1 had their first after-school Science club today. It was gruelling and gruesome as we tried out different slime recipes!
We talked about cornflour as a material and how it can be a bit cheeky sometimes. It has properties of a solid AND a liquid when mixed with water.
We even changed its state by experimenting with quantities.
We can’t wait to investigate more science next week!
They talked to us about power foods and weak foods and which ones are the best for us. They showed us the amount of sugar that is in fizzy drinks and sweets. Then we learnt some different exercises and dances to keep us fit.
